Mr. Dougan's practice focuses on civil litigation in the State courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts . Since joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Dougan has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Superior Court. He handles complex matters involving motor vehicle accidents, workers' compensation, liquor liability and premises liability.

Mr. Dougan's successful trials have included: the defense of trucking a company sued for allegedly causing serious injury to the occupants of another motor vehicle; obtaining a directed verdict in defense of an apartment complex in a premises liability action and obtaining defense verdicts for numerous workers' compensation carriers for alleged work related accidents.
